What Is Port Wine? [VIDEO]

You may know that Port wine is great for wine cellars and collectors, but what IS Port wine? Port comes from Portugal, and it's a red wine that is made when the fermentation process is stopped by the addition of alcohol – so it's a fortified wine, which gives Port its massive aging potential.

 
 
 
 
 
 

 

In fact, certain Port wines can last on your shelf or in your cellar for indefinite periods of time.
