Cheers to Mom! Delicious Drinks to Celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the wonderful mothers in our lives than with some delicious drinks? Whether you’re raising a glass to your own mom, a mom-to-be, or any mother figure who deserves to be honored, these recipes are sure to add some sparkle to the occasion. From classic mimosas to refreshing mocktails, let’s raise a toast to all the amazing moms out there!

Classic Mimosa

You simply can’t go wrong with this classic! This easy-to-make brunch drink is perfect for those looking to add a little something special to the meal without having to become a mixologist

Ingredients:

- 1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine

- 1 cup of fresh orange juice

- Orange slices, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Chill champagne glasses in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Pour orange juice into each glass, filling them about halfway.
  3. Slowly top off each glass with champagne or sparkling wine.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice and serve immediately.

Spiked Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

Looking to roll up your sleeves a bit and make something more impressive? Moms go above and beyond for us on the daily, so mixing them up something with a little more pizzazz is well worth the elbow grease. 

Ingredients:

- 1 cup fresh raspberries

- 2 ounces vodka

- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

- 1/2 cup simple syrup

- 1 bottle of sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

- Ice cubes

- Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, puree the raspberries until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the raspberry puree, vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the raspberry lemonade mixture over the ice.
  4. Top each glass with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and a few whole raspberries. Serve chilled.

Mom-to-Be Mocktail: Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade

Don’t skimp on making drinks to celebrate your soon-to-be mommas! This refreshing cocktail is the non-boozy alternative to the previous recipe and is made with strawberries instead of raspberries. 

Ingredients:

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled

- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

- 1/2 cup simple syrup

- 1 bottle of sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

- Ice cubes

- Strawberry slices and lemon twists, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, puree the strawberries until smooth.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Stir until well combined.
  3. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry lemonade mixture over the ice.
  4. Top each glass with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
  5. Garnish with a strawberry slice and a lemon twist. Sip and enjoy this refreshing mocktail!

Tropical Sunset Cocktail

Don’t let the name fool you—you can enjoy this throughout Mother’s Day, not just at sunset!

Ingredients:

- 2 ounces coconut rum

- 2 ounces pineapple juice

- 1 ounce orange juice

- 1/2 ounce grenadine

- Pineapple slices and maraschino cherries, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add coconut rum, pineapple juice, and orange juice to the shaker. Shake well until chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Slowly pour grenadine over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect.
  5. Garnish with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry. Enjoy the tropical vibes!
