THC Drinks Are Having a Moment. Here’s What Minnesota Needs to Know.

What’s a beergarita, you ask? Remember the song, “put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up”? It’s not that. Here, it’s a mix of a beer and a cocktail. In fact, most recipes call for pouring a bottle of Mexican beer into a beer and calling it a day.
A good, cold lager will always quench the thirst. But when a margarita sounds delicious, too — there's only one thing to do. Mix up a beergarita! We did some sleuthing for the best beergarita recipes and found the best classic recipe as well as a few fun options to switch things up. No matter what season you find yourself currently in - here's to summer!
Ingredients:
Combine the tequila, lime juice, and cantaloupe syrup in an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice in a Collins or margarita glass. Top with pilsner (German or American versions work). Garnish with a sprig of sage.
If you are looking for a drink to make in quantity, we have that for you too. Best part: it’s super simple, and if you can do easy math, you can do this. Twelve is the magic number.
Stir together first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher until blended. Serve immediately over crushed ice. Garnish, if desired.
To a blender, add the lime juice and sugar. Blend until the sugar has mostly dissolved, about 20 seconds. Add the ice and blend until all the ice is crushed. Pour in the beer and blend once more until combined. It’ll be frothy, not to worry. Add a few tablespoons of salt to a shallow bowl or plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses. Dip them in the salt until it’s evenly coated all around the glass’s rim. Divide the frozen beergarita amongst the two glasses. Garnish with a few lime wedges. Drink immediately.
Combine all ingredients together in a large glass. Mix, then add ice.
